time is in the air
And my family is starting to prepare
They
put on their gear to bear

cars come around the bend
They park in front of the house and
send
The relatives with bowls of blend

Everyone
sits down in their chair
It's giving me quite a scare
They all
know that it's there

The
spread is actually quite a sight
Ice cream, veggies, and potatoes
white
It's kind of sad what happens tonight

Uncle
Bob gets up and makes his speech
About giving thanks and eating
beets
He then gets out his knife, brand Deets

And
starts to carve the duck

THEN

Potatoes
flew all over the place
Veggies blasted off to outer space
Then
everyone started to stuff their face

While
my cousins were fighting over a yam
The chimney fell on Aunty
Sam
And grandmas hair got in the strawberry jam

Pirates
busted in through the door
Aliens beamed in for even more
Even
a T-Rex popped in for a roar

The
day is threw and very soon
My family breaks out all their
brooms
For the cleanup that's sure to ensue
